I'm just your average 23-year-old with a wild dream of traveling the world and exploring all seven continents... yes, even Antarctica. I was born in Florida and have lived in 7 states and 11 towns, but I consider Colorado home. Growing up in a family that moved often gave me opportunities to visit many states within the US and make friends all over the nation. Since childhood, I have been in love with the idea of traveling and learning about other cultures and the people of the world.

In 2016, after a stressful semester playing NCAA soccer and trying to keep a 4.0 at a college I didn't love, while living 2000 miles away from family and my best friends, I realized I was really unhappy. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and had given up some of my lifelong dreams to make others happy. I decided to take a step back and do something for me. I decided to take a semester off from school and chose to travel solo to Europe for almost 3 months. I spent the summer working 70 hours a week to save up for the trip and pay off all my student loans. By August, I was debt free, had plenty saved up, and was ready to go. My friends thought I was crazy to go abroad (for the first time ever) alone. Despite their doubts, it was an amazing experience, from learning how to get around, making friends, and even getting lost. I loved every second of it.

Before I left for Europe, my sister gave me a journal with a quote from Hans Christian Anderson she had drawn inside: "To move, to breath, to fly, to float, to gain all while I give, to roam the roads of lands remote, to travel is to live." This quote has become my life motto. Since this first trip I have been able to visit Iceland, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. This list will just continue to grow! Next stop, Thailand.

I am currently a college student in Virginia, playing soccer, and majoring in Art with a concentration on digital mediums and Communication Studies. I travel abroad at least once a year and hope to move abroad and travel much more after graduation. I have a deep love for the outdoors, art, delicious food, and, of course, travel.
